While you may not be familiar with Infinnium, I am betting that it will appear on corporate legal’s radar this year. Their 4iG platform was launched in 2018 and previously seemed focused on enterprise governance through in-place processing and analytics. Familiar eDiscovery rock stars Elie Francis (Driven/One Discovery) and Doug Kaminski (Relativity/Consilio) joining the leadership team should make a strong statement to the eDiscovery market. So what is 4iG and why should you care?
The 4iG platform can index M365 and many other cloud and on premise sources ‘at rest’ for search, classification and even AI driven analytics. That avoids the Purview driven export and the $/GB cost of external processing and hosting required in many approaches to give counsel access to targeted data.
Their indexing in place via 50+ connectors sidesteps or reduces the throttling bottleneck encountered in large collections. The platform offers augmentation of metadata (classification), ROT identification, retention, breach response, DSAR, business email compliance and AI driven eDiscovery workflows. Functionality includes Tesseract OCR (LSTM), translation, transcription and image analysis without a per GB charge. It can be deployed within your security perimeter on-premise, appliance or virtual with federated instances. 4iG should be interesting for customers seeking a governance solution that supports eDiscovery, compliance and other business requirements upstream of their chosen platform for complex reviews.
This briefing was more of an introduction and brand definition exercise than a deep dive. I will get you more when and if I get the chance to kick the tires.
