Introducing the ability to define how long content captured by a Communication Compliance policy is retained. Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance provides the tools to help organizations detect regulatory compliance violations (e.g. SEC or FINRA), such as sensitive or confidential information, harassing or threatening language, and sharing of adult content. Built with privacy by design, usernames are pseudonymized by default, role-based access controls are built in, investigators are opted in by an admin, and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Viva Insights is pleased to announce that manager, leader, and advanced insights will be available for GCC June 30, 2023. These premium insights help organizations understand and predict the impact of day-to-day actions to continuously improve the outcomes they care about.

An administrator can configure alerts and notifications specific to Windows 365 Cloud PCs.

This feature will update default tag management settings in the Teams Admin Center to include "Microsoft Default" along with Team owners and members" and "Team owners.” You can update this to your preferred option of "Team owners" or "Team owners and members" at the tenant level and override the default. Note: This change only applies to Public cloud and does not apply to any special Cloud such as GCC, GCCH, DoD, Gallatin, and AirGap.

Academies in Viva Learning provide a guided learning experience to employees to improve their skills.

Admins can create and manage learning academies in the Viva Learning Admin tab.

Requestors will now be able to toggle on sequential approvals to designate the approval order of the request.

Virtual Appointment is a new Teams meeting type tailored for B2C meetings with people outside of your organization. When using the meeting type, guests will get a meeting invitation that includes important appointment details to make joining easy. They can join from any device—no need to install Teams—and experience a comfortable pre-appointment virtual waiting room until you're ready to begin.  This was incorrectly marked as complete on May 15th, 2023 and has been updated to the correct status of rolling out.  

Now in Viva Learning, users will be able to track their progress on different courses within the Learning path.

Users can mark a course as complete in Viva learning. 

Search results in Outlook on the web will now show Teams messages and files shared in Teams conversations

Send in-meeting notifications to specific people in a meeting via a bot.

Outlook on the web can now proof your writing simultaneously in up to three languages. Users must select which languages to add in Editor settings.

We are consolidating all the add-ins into a flyout menu in the ribbon and adding Teams search-based message extensions into this same flyout.

The Virtual Appointment Graph API allows developers to create and manage Microsoft hosted Teams Virtual Appointments from any application. Virtual Appointments are designed for business to consumer workflows.

This feature had been delayed and the timeline has been updated. Send email from a proxy email address or account alias rather than your primary email address. The alias email address will be preserved in the FROM and REPLY TO for the recipients.

All the familiar functionalities of meeting apps - tabs, bots, in-meeting dialogue, and meeting stage - will be supported in Teams VOIP Calls. Users of your apps will enjoy the same familiar app experience as seen in Teams Meetings, in their Teams VOIP Calls.

With this update, admins with appropriate permissions will have the ability to view a sensitivity analysis, which shows the count of users in the organization that would meet specific indicator thresholds. The sensitivity analysis is presented as a bar chart, with potential inputs of an indicator threshold on the x-axis and the corresponding count of users on the y-axis. Admins can utilize this chart to make informed decisions on which threshold to apply for each indicator. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. By integrating with the Microsoft Designer service, we can now offer authors beautiful ways to improve the look and feel of their SharePoint pages. This is done through tailored section level design suggestions.

The Teams Webinar Graph APIs allows users to get webinar data like attendee names, attendance duration, registration, and registrant cancellations. This data can be exported to be used in 3P systems including CRMs, marketing automation tools, LOB and Workflow apps. These APIs are designed to support business-to-business workflows.

All participants in meetings are now able to start collaborative annotations. This will only be available in the new Microsoft Teams experience.

The updated Gallery View places everyone in tiles of equal size by default (16:9 ratio) whether their video is on or off. Users can also easily change their gallery size, choose to prioritize tiles with video-on, and remove their tile from the main gallery. When a Microsoft Teams Room joins the meeting, video is optimized by enlarging the size by default and users can re-size via the contextual menu. Available only in the new Microsoft Teams experience.

We are introducing email and associated entities hunting capabilities to the Microsoft Graph Security API. Email meta data like email properties (subject, sender, domain etc ), MDO detections, and related entities can now be hunt via the API.

The content pane surfaces relevant authoring tools that help authors quickly browse and add content to SharePoint pages. With this new feature, authors can easily drag and drop web parts, media, and section templates for creating rich and engaging pages.

We are making it easier to collect information with an updated forms experience for Microsoft Lists. Forms look clean, are easy to design, can be easily shared, and respondents are able to fill them out on any device. All form responses appear immediately in your list after recipient clicks the submit button.

Currently, OCR is available only for standalone Images. With this update image-only PDF and TIFF files in OneDrive and SharePoint will also benefit from OCR.

Currently available in public preview, releasing several new long-term retention policies as part of the 10-year Audit Log Retention add-on SKU. These include 3 years, 5 years, and 7 years. These are available for customers with the 10-Year Audit Log Retention license.

Brings app layer management to Windows.  Supports app configuration and app protection for Microsoft Edge.  Includes app protection Conditional Access and Windows Defender integration.
