128 new updates were launched or rolling out in September! View my take on those with potential eDiscovery Impact and my comments at my Roadmap table. Per last month’s comments, the new Purview Portal Hub UI is the big news. I call EVERYONE’s attention to 415454 (second one below) that the Classic Purview portal will be retired END OF THE YEAR. The new Portal is still in preview mode and a known navigation bug may require you to use this link – https://purview.microsoft.com/ediscovery/casespage – to directly access the new portal (the bug is still blocking my tenant). This means that corporate eDiscovery teams and those who support them ‘may’ have less than 2 months to test and adapt their workflows, search, holds, etc. to the new UI. Given how unreasonable this sounds in light of the potential risks, I hope that MSFT will push this accessibility date back and just lock the ability to create new cases in the older UI. I hope to create a full Geek Guide page on the new Portal UI asap after I recover from my obligatory conference cold and backlog.
