Why attend the Developer Summit session at Relativity Fest? I believe that Relativity’s innovation and growth is dependent on the ability of partners and ‘citizen developers’ to access highly technical information and resources. The launch of Rel Labs will expand the existing development partner programs, provide sandbox environments and fund new technology partnerships directly and through The LegalTech Fund.
Legal technology exists within an adversarial, confidential environment that makes collaboration and community challenging. The creation of a community innovation hub has the potential to foster customer-driven innovation and insights if it is not dominated by providers. Recent RFP engagements left me with the impression that many Relativity partners only made their Relativity custom applications and integrations available to captive customers. I understand protecting your IP investments, but that approach stagnates growth and innovation.
Relativity has 80 APIs and 500+ accessible endpoints. The goal seems to be breaking through access to reach insight tiers of extensibility. My Relativity clients have been craving cross and intra-matter insights for better matter management.
For corporate RelativityOne customers focused upstream, there is a new Collect API slated for Q1 2026 that will include all the existing enterprise connectors. V2 in later 2026 will add external custom collectors. Mature APIs ease automation, monitoring and multisystem workflow apps.
