Migrated from eDJGroupInc.com. Author: Barry Murphy. It is very possible that corporations are not necessarily leaning toward cloud-based solutions for eDiscovery, but may be forced to use them anyhow.  For example, many IT departments don’t realize that their legal counterparts use hosted review.  Or, an organization that uses Salesforce.com may not know that they will need to rely on that cloud provider to help with eDiscovery should a request for information arise.  For the majority of IT Admins, the pains of managing email for legal discovery are well understood. Restoring backup tapes, searching desktop PSTs while keeping email defensible in a court of law are just a few of the struggles we all faced.  Are we not facing the same problem all over again with new online applications like SalesForce, Hosted SharePoint (and others)?  eDJ has launched a survey to probe deeper into the issues around the Cloud and eDiscovery.

In this survey, our aim is to first identify which online enterprise information management applications organizations like yours are adopting. Further, we explore how well your cloud-based information is being managed from a legal and compliance perspective. How is the data being stored? How is data accessed for legal discovery? How do you place cloud data on legal hold? And, how do you conduct review and analysis on that data?   These are just a sample of the questions covered by this survey. The total survey is less than 20 questions and should only take 5 minutes of your time. All respondents will be entered into a drawing to win the new Kindle Fire, a $199 value.  Click here to take the survey now.
