Brian has worked for both large and medium-sized law firms and served in roles that cover the full EDRM spectrum, from e-Discovery consulting with clients; to managing document reviews; to processing data and to sitting in the hot seat at trial. He is a former English major in a technology environment that fully believes that this background serves him very well in his job. Lastly, Brian is a father of five children, including twins, and it’s not clear whether the unpredictability of Litigation Support equips him better to be a father or if it’s vice versa.Kevin Nichols has been perfecting his craft as an expert in three distinct areas, legal, diversity, and social networking. In legal, Kevin has worked in multifaceted capacities in some of the most prolific international law firms in the country, such as Morrison & Foerster, Paul Hastings, Heller Ehrman, and Holland & Knight. Kevin is the President & CEO of KLN Publishing, LLC, and has been published in The Recorder, Law.com, the American Bar Association’s Business Law Corporate Counsel eNewsletter, and Law Technology News. Kevin has also been the West Coast Regional Sales Manager for a litigation e-Discovery processing & hosting software company based out of Dallas. Kevin’s involvement with diversity has been an extension of his legal experience. As Executive Director of the California Diversity Council (CADC), Kevin strategically advises on event planning, programming, and membership development. This February, the CADC will host a Leadership Conference featuring Donna Brazile and Dr. Cornell West as its keynote speakers. Finally, Kevin has become a social networking expert. He is the founder of two professional networking LinkedIn groups in the Bay Area with roughly 2,500 members combined, that meet regularly to identify business goals and objectives and facilitate referrals to achieve same. He organizes monthly and quarterly events to bring the Bay Area business community together and creates career-networking opportunities for those who he encounters. . The firm specializes in cases involving electronic evidence. Paul is a licensed private investigator and attorney in California and has attained the certifications of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and EnCase Certified Computer Forensics Examiner (EnCE). Paul’s twenty-five year career includes four years’ in law enforcement, twelve years’ in corporate security and four years’ in information-security engineering. More recent experience includes four years’ as an electronic discovery project manager with Iron Mountain where he managed every aspect of very large cases for AMLAW 100 firms and Fortune 500 companies. Paul has also worked as an attorney specializing in business/commercial litigation and probate and trust/estate matters. His casework includes arguing one tax case all the way to California’s highest tax court and one published appellate case in the Sixth Appellate District of California. To facilitate his effectiveness in fraud, tax and trust/estate cases, Paul attained a postgraduate degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
